Today, I was eagly willing to spend $500+ on not just one but two pieces of furniture advertised both online and instores.The first piece of furniture they told me they couldn't sell me because it was display.
I asked if I could buy it and they could sell it to me after display time they said "no we donate it". This product was advertised as only being available in a few select stores ( out of state from me) So I was pretty furious as I was willing to buy the only one in a 1000 mile radius. So I called another store, several states a way asking if they would do an instore transfer, and they said if it was available online that they couldn't do that. Well the item was advertised online, but only saying it was in these few stores ( and "limited stock" in stores near me- aka limited stock means NO STOCK.
I called probably 10 stores, talked to the target.com reps 3 times, and talked to about 15 people and they all said "I am sorry, we have this item, but we can't ship it to you/cant do a store transfer" basically they have the item but wouldn't sell it to me and I had to let go of getting it even though multiple stores had it, other stores had it used in display aka advertised as "in stock" (even though its display and they wont sell it to you? WTF!!!!?) So I went back to a different store to get a different furniture item- which was a table which was advertised as on sale online. I went inside the store they had ONE LEFT, I asked if it was the price it was listed as online ( 100 cheaper is a pretty big dent) they said "yes we do price matching to target.com) I said great, please hold it so I could get a rental car to move it ( it was a 6' table that I couldn't fit in my sedan) Low and behold, I get the car, I get back there and they say that they won't honor the sale price that is on the TARGET.COM website. WHAT KIND OF COMPANY DOESNT EVEN HONOR THEIR OWN ADVERTISED SALES?
OR EVEN HONOR THEIR OWN WORD AFTER I ASKED if this was something they would honor and they said yes? This company is so absurd, do they not want my 500 plus dollars? I seriously wasted my entire day on the phone and in person trying to talk to these incompetent people and their horrible inventory system and incompetent sales and customer service.
I hope many people read this, as I guess money doesn't run the world, incompetency does.Seriously, F these guys.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Preferred solution: Price reduction.
I liked: Design of products.
I didn't like: Overcharged - incompetent customer service - insulted, Lack of communication, Not honoring website pricing, Not able to ship item that is instock to store near me, Not as advertised.
