Went to my local Target to purchase an Iphone 6 with new service from Verizon. They asked for my ID and Social Security Number.

Punched it into a computer, then placed a call. I was told that there was no problem with Verizon but Target would not let the sale go through. I was told that they did not know why, they just wouldn't sell me the phone even if I paid cash. Sales associate said I had NO RECOURSE and there was no one he could refer me to explain.

Store Manager gave me a phone number and I was told "MY CASE???" was under investigation.

I am a senior citizen, not some kid trying to sell phones. By the way, there were no requirements posted.

Monetary Loss: $300.

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered.
