Element TV purchased at Target’s Black Friday sale went out 6 months later. I called Target who stated that my extended warranty doesn't kick in until after manufacturer’s year was up.

The Manufacturer in California wants me to purchase a box, pay to ship it to them with no guarantees of repair/replacement and then pay for the return shipping. This endeavor will cost almost as much as the TV. They won’t be able to continue handling these matters like this.

Hopefully some good attorney will contact us all and place a class action suit against them both! We all deserve retribution!

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $360.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Element TVs are sold in a lot of different stores, not just Target. The Element TVs are the only TVs manufactured in the US.

If the TV quit working after the deadline that you could have taken it back to Target you have no other option than to deal with the manufacturer. Figure out the size of the box that you need and then call different places that sell boxes to see how much you would have to pay to buy the box. Call the different shipping places like UPS and see how much it would cost for you to bring the TV to them and have them prepare it for shipping. I guess it kind of depends on how much you ACTUALLY paid for the TV and if the total costs to ship it to the manufacturer is worth it to you.

But if you don't want to do it, quit whining. This isn't anything for a class action suit, and why would Target be in on it. It isn't their fault your TV quit working and that apparently happened after their however long return policy.

Your TV quit working in May and you are just now getting around to complaining about it. It sounds like you have some growing up to do.

I agree and any lawyer they contact will laugh at them(and not in their face but behind their back if they had decency)
