Traditional marriage laws are "an unproductive, inequitable, and unjust status quo."
[A law that defines marriage as the union of a man and a woman] requires that… we single out colleagues with same-sex partners and treat them as a separate and unequal class as compared to employees with heterosexual partners.
Those are not my words; those are the words of the retail giant Target.
Last week, Target signed on to an amicus brief for the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in two pending cases challenging the definition of marriage in Indiana and Wisconsin. Those are two quotes that came directly from the amicus brief.
The amicus brief was launched to be a direct attack on marriage and family. Target needs to know that this is unacceptable.
