I am a Red Card customer at Target and have spent thousands of dollars there. My husband and I are senior citizens as well.

I tried to return the CD collection of Garth Brooks. They would not take the item back because the celephane was not on the box. When we purchased it we thought it would contain all of the original Garth Brooks favorites. However that wasn't the case.

The CDs contained some of the same music. If the song "Friends in low Places" was not included on any of the CDS then the package is not his best collection. Several of the songs were from other singing artusts.

Very disappointed in CD. But more disappointed in Target for not taking the return.

This actually has to do with copyright laws, and is not just a Target policy. Opened CDS and movies cam only be exchanged for the exact same thing in the case that it doesn't work. Senior citizen or not, they cannot ignore this for you.

Hey , try taking to a different target and try to talk with a supervisor. They would certainly be able to help you with the issue.


Their return policy is quite clear in saying they don't accept the return of open CD's for a very obvious reason. If they took back open CD's what is to stop you from taking them home, burning them to your computer or mp3 player and returning them and getting your music for free? Stops the thieves whether they are teenagers or senior citizens.


Please, not the poor old senior citizen card again.
