I have been a card member since 1995. On Dec.
19th I called the company to request a new card because I had never received an updated card after my previous one expired. On Dec.
29th I called to activate the card and during those 10 days (which includes the not only a weekend, but a holiday) the company decided to deactivate my account, after 16 years, because I hadn't yet used the new card. Absolutely ridiculous customer "service" and now I will undoubtedly have a negative mark on my credit report as it will show as a card closed by the creditor.
