I went to purchase the Acer notebook computer that was on sale with a $50 gift card. The store only had 6 in stock which were sold out within the first morning of the sale.

The clerk has no idea when the product would be restocked for the sale. None of the clerks I spoke to have any knowledge of what products they will receive or when. All stores in the region were sold out.

I couldn't get a raincheck for this item since they don't give a raincheck on an item with a gift card. You basically have to be lucky to find the item in stock during the sale. The online price doesn't match the store sale price.

I went to another Target the next day - the clerk gave the same info. No item, no idea when/if they will receive this computer during the sale, no raincheck.

Target is having an illusion of a sale when only a few items of the product is in stock for the sale. It was just a waste of my time and now they have lost a customer since they don't care to provide the stock during a sale.

I'm also extremely disappointed that Target doesn't provide any customer support for issues like this on their website. They obviously don't want to hear from the customer or to improve or repair their customer services.

Review about: Target Website.

Monetary Loss: $330.

Sometimes the stock in the computer system is not correct. It can occur for a number of reasons.

They perform research periodically on product in order to ensure the numbers are usually or at least close to correct.

Theft is a major reason why those numbers can be off. The system cannot account for a stolen item.

Previously - NARC YOU OUT. I am in the process of changing my screen name from Narc you out to Anonymous because of a theft of my screen name.

Apparently, some gutless wonder has decided to commandeer my screen name and post lies. As of 9/2/11, I will no longer post as Narc you out, but rather as Anonymous. Let the little thief and liar decide from themselves who is posting to the complaint site of Target. This actually sounds like fun.

If they are too weak natured to use their own names, then it makes one wonder, for whom are they concerned - themselves or Target. It is almost a map backward ....

I had this SAME problem with the same item. Funny thing is that the store said they 'showed' 2 in stock but somehow couldn't find any, another store in the area supposedly had 4 but when I got there (less than 30 minutes later) none in stock.

The sales associate immediately said it was sold out without checking stock. When I told him that xxx store said that they had 4 in stock, he said that the inventory check isn't usually accurate.

Thank you for this listing. Please continue to let the rest of us know how badly Target mistreated you.

Pass the word on to everyone you know, family, friends and acquaintances. Post these complaints whereever you can, like your local newspaper, letters to the editor. Sooner or later they will understand that these practices are unacceptable and scores of people are being warned to stay away from this store. If we affect their bottom line enough, they will understand that we are serious and will not be deterred.

Certainly we will not do business with Targeet again, but the people we are keeping away will start to hit their profits and then they will hear our complaints.

Thanks for your listing. Keep this going and watch Target change their disrespectful practices!

Yes, there is micro-sized text at the bottom of the page stating quantities are limited - however, a quantity of SIX is obscenely limited for a week-long sale. The clerks were nice and I understand they aren't involved in the ordering (I have no issue with the staff).

But it is a shame that corporate keeps the staff in the dark about upcoming deliveries which results in staff not being able to fully assist customers. It's not difficult to set up an automated email with upcoming delivery numbers that management can share with departments/staff.

The fine print in the ads will say it's limited to what they have in stock only and often will even say that it's a limited item. The employees DON'T know what is coming in because they aren't the ones who order items.

That is all done from a corporate level. Always read the fine print, and remember that online prices and in store prices are rarely the same.
