I bought a cute whale-shaped humidifier to replace the same model which broke a few months back. The "new" one I bought at full price in Target was not only broken in the exact same way, the inside was also coated with limescale (like you get in a kettle), which is what happens when water evaporates from a surface over hundreds of uses and many months.

Target did not even try to hide this, they just repacked the broken, dirty pieces back into the original packaging, and slapped a full price sticker on it.

I knew they were cheap, but how does a company get away with this?
