Today at Target I went for the BOGO 50% off on the Brita filters so when she rang it up, I didn't get the discount and immediately called this to her attention but her response was that they could not correct mistakes at the register and I'd need to go to customer service. After waiting in that line for 20 minutes, she did refund me $9.50 for the overcharge but stated that they did not have to refund me the tax on that amount! When I asked her if she was going to make sure this was corrected at the register, she refused to answer me and just looked off into space!
