I tried to exchange a pillow I received as a Christmas gift and all I wanted was the same pillow in a different color. The tags were on it so they knew it came from Target.
Did not matter, without a receipt nothing would be done (it was $24.99). This tells me they think it was stolen and I am so insulted. I explained how I didn't want to ask the giver for the receipt because it would make them feel bad. Well, now I am going to ask her for the receipt and will inform her of poor customer service.
The gal who gave me the pillow was already done with Target, she only went there because of my request. She had a wedding registry there in August and could not exchange or return some duplicated and unwanted gifts. (They did not update the registry often enough so she got duplicates of several items). Apparently, Target does not value my business.
Today I am calling to cancel my Target credit card and will begin to tell everyone I know to avoid Target stores. So long customer service.
