Target has a promotion buy $30 worth of beauty products and get a $5 gift card free.

My credit card was then Charged for $31.24 and a seperate $5 charge.

I called the customer care to dispute transaction. They said- the total amount of the item i purchased was really $36.24. They only charges me the $31.24 then the $5which totalled to about the same.

This is a transaction that only THEY understand. These separate transaction clearly shows on my bank statement that I was charged for the gift cards.

Very sneaky way to run a promotion.

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Did you purchase $31.24 worth of product or did the $31.24 include sales tax? If the actual product was just under $30.00 and the tax put the total over $30.00 you would not qualify for the free card.
