Target advertises items to get you in the store and then doesn't have the items in stock. Second time in a row I went to Ocala, FL Target to get something in their ad and it was out of stock.

This time, it was the Meow mix that they had a big ad on the back page of their circular for. Supposedly, If you purchased Meow Mix and kitty litter in combination (two items), you were supposed to get a free $5 gift card. Non-service person pointed to her Dumb phone and said: Look: Store is out of stock but there are two online and you can order it. Right, how much shipping would I pay on 20+ lbs of cat food and would I even get the gift card.

Why are there only two available online to begin with, and most importantly, why do they continue to not have their featured products? They don't even give an email address to send complaints to.

The gift card promotions are generally pretty popular, and those items sell out fast. Despite what people think, Target does not have an endless supply of inventory. Trucks are received almost daily to restock items.

"Subject to availability. Items not available at all locations.

While supplies last only". Something to this effect will be printed on the ad somewhere.

The person probably needs an adult to read the fine print and explain what it means.

Next time get mommy or daddy to take you to Target earlier. They cannot have an unlimited supply of items on sale, nor can they wave a magic wand and make items appear.

Sale items get sold out faster than regularly priced items.

Don't go around throwing a temper tantrum because the items were sold out when you got there. Instead have mommy or daddy take you to the store earlier on in the week.

All stores do this. When I worked in one they advertised boxes of lego blocks for 3.99.Low and behold when they opened they had a big shelf in the middle aisle empty with a sign on it for the legos. There were never any legos at all to begin with since I was there to open I know.A friend of mine waited outside in the cold for hours for that deal. When she asked the manager about are there anymore he is like sorry we just sold out. This was at kmart.
