Employee made me wait 10 minutes for 2 minute service.
I was at TARGET and wanted to pay for a Blu-ray. I went to the checkout in Electronics, the employee was helping somebody find a TV. The person the employee was helping was browsing for televisions and was not sure if he was going to purchase one at that time. I waited 5 minutes before the employee looked at me. When he saw me I asked if he could ring me up real quick, I even stated I had a giftcard and it would be very quick. The TARGET employee told me he was busy and to go checkout at the front of the store. I had already been waiting for him for 5 minutes and the people at the front of the store are not always able to open the security case, or it takes them awhile to do so. I decided to wait for the employee to finish helping the other customer. That took another 5 minutes, so I had to wait a total of 10 minutes to be helped. The transaction took no more then 2 minutes for me to pay with my giftcard, *** the security device, and get my receipt. On top of it, when I left the store, the security alarm went off, because the employee had not properly deactivated the security tag. I had to have a security guard check my receipt and merchandise. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. If I would of known what I was going to have to deal with, I would have just shoplifted the item to avoid then entire ordeal.

Coupon issue
We visited a Target in fort collins, we purchase several items, one item was a bath soap with an attached coupon for $1,00 off. No big discount, but worth picking up this compared to other products. We then went to check out and we took the coupon off the bottle and handed it to the clerk. She said the coupon was outdated, we said the coupon was off the bottle we just purchased, we even showed the clerk the bottle, she told us people try and rip them off all the time, we where offended by the statement. Since the coupon was on a bottle they had on their shelf we asked them to honor it, at first the clerk was not going to do that, we continue to ask. One supervisor came over and could not override the system another lady came over and did it. All during this time the clerk continue to argue with my wife. No good customer service at all, the supervisor then asked us if we had any other issues. When we said the clerk was rude and offensive the supervisor was not interested in hearing our concern and asked us to leave. If Target has a customer service training program, then its missing in Fort Collins Col.

Ordering on the phone!
I ordered on May 23rd rolston Outdoor Cushion Set. Five sets. $247.07, red,/brown/striped. I was told they would be here around the 15th of June. I called today, June 14th, Customer Service told me it was cancelled. They don't know why, blamed it on the computer. Whatever happened, no one ever called me or emailed me that the order was cancelled. I wanted them before Father's Day! I am so angry, I would of bought them somewhere else if I knew it did not go through the computer, what a shame. I am so disappointed and angry! Target you stink!!!!!

Target sold me wrong and dirty product and will not let me return it!
I bought Sonicare Toothbrush as a gift at Target Store in Palatine IL on 4/9/2012. Gift recipient in Japan noticed discoloration on handle and it gave dirty appearance. She returned it to me to take it back to store. When store manager asked me for reason for return, I told him it is dirty. He examined the product and told me the product does not match pic on box which I did not know. Then he told me that he is not taking it back because it is dirty (the reason of return to begin with), it is over 2 months old (should not matter when I have receipt) and the product does not match with pic on the box. He was rude and accusing me for false action by me. I had to talk to 4 people when I called Target Customer Relation. Each transfer took so long also. Then Jim who claim he has no manager above him was also rude. He was practically accusing me of using and switching the product and returning it. I was so upset. I have been shopping Target for long time but now I will go to Walmart instead and tell my friends to do the same.

Target card -if you pay it off they lock it for 10+ days
When I've paid off my Target visa, they have locked it, I cannot use it for 10+ days. They told me they were waiting for my bank to process the payment. Isn't that 1-2 business days?-- because that's the time it took Target to take the money from my bank account! I use the card a lot to get the 5% discount by using the card. I was embarrassed in the checkout line REPEATEDLY when I kept getting declined! And this is right after paying them in full. Is that how a regular customer should be treated?

Not helping the handicap
I've taken my Mother who has a walks with a cain and a has a hard time standing into 3 different Target stores to shop. Each time the handicap riders are not charged or they give me one that runs out of power when we are in the back of the store. MOst of the time we never get that far so I ask for a wheel chair. The last two times they made my Mother stand there while they waited on serveral other customers and when they got a break went in the back for the chair. When we got the wheel chair it never had foot pads. After shopping in the store we get to the front of the store to pay and they close down the line in front of us. She will never go back and if we ever do I'll bring my own wheel chair. Target people are not friendly at all and when it comes to the handicap forget it!!!!! Very unhappy!!!

Target ripped me off!
My boyfriend ordered a number of household items online from target.com. When he finished placing his order, it ended up being close to $500. We later found out that not only was the $500 placed on authorization on his bank account, but since the items were shipping separately, each item was charged to his account separately as well. The $500 authorization never left the account, so not only had he paid for the original order he placed, he was also being charged "extra". Target told him that the initial $500 would disappear as soon as the items were all shipped, but unfortunately, some of the items were on backorder. We had the $500 to pay for the order. We DID NOT have the almost $1000 we were being charged. After almost 3 hours on the phone with target.com, we were finally told we were allowed to fill out a complaint, but the people who handled the complaints don't take incoming phone calls and even though she was in the same building as these people, there "was nothing she could do about it". The customer service was horrible. Who places an online order and has any idea that they're going to be essentially charged twice what the amount was? This is absurd! I want EVERYONE to be aware that when a large order is placed on target.com, you better make sure you have double the amount of money in your account to cover it! To make matters worse, the first box of stuff that finally came to our door had about 2 of the items he had ordered, along with some additional baby items (which we NEVER ordered). The toaster oven he ordered was NOT in the shipment and was out of stock online all of a sudden. To top it off, one of his items has still not shipped, nor will we know when it will ship. It's all a load of B.S.!

The person who served me made a rude gesture using hands
I was at the customer *** in a Target Store at Chatswood NSW to buy a toy. The person who served me looked at me and made a Rude gesture with his hands wiping his nose with a sweeping gesture with his hands. There was no greeting just a hard stare. He did not ask me if I wanted a bag as he did to the customer before me. Instead with a very blank stare the money was taken and after the service he again repeated the rude gesture by wiping his nose with a sweeping gesture with his hands. I do not know this person. I was deeply offended. Think of the health hazard to the rest of the customers. As I left the shop and turned to look at this rude *** I saw several customers who were still in the *** turn and look at me. What type of training do they give this workers?

Weirdest experience at a Target
I was in Dallas for the weekend, I was on my way home, I had no idea where I was, I was lost, I stopped at a small community, there was only a target, a couple of clothing stores, a gas station, and a hardware store. I was hungry so I decided to go to Target, it looked like a good enough place to get some quick food. I walked inside, and there were only like 5 other people shopping there. There was also only one cash register. I made my way to the back, where I saw the drinks, canned food, and jerky( they did not have a food court) While I was looking through the stuff, which was all over place, I noticed a young woman following me and looking at me through a tube, I felt uneasy, I said "hi" then she quickly ran up to me said something along the lines of alludah meh or something like that, this man weird looking guy ( I have been describing him as looking like Steve Buscemi except stockier) Came out of nowhere and apologized, because he said it was his daughter and that she had ran off. The woman looked panicked and scared, I figured she was just mentally challenged or something ( I felt weird, because I had just seen the Texas Chainsaw Massacre) well I got a pack of jerky, some canned soup, a bag of chips, a packet of plastic spoons, a cinnamon bun 2 iced teas, some cookies, and a packet of napkins in a basket, ( it felt like a giant convenience store or something, because it lacked many of the basic things you would find at a regular target) I heard screaming coming from behind the freezer shelves, I was alarmed but I remained quiet, because for some reason two of the shoppers were just staring at me as soon I heard those screams. One of them just said really loud while looking at me, but not talking to me directly " Sounds like one of the workers had an accident. I just started feeling queasy, and awkward because the guy was still looking at me while I walked towards the cash register. The cashier did not even have the standard Target Uniform on but the guy standing near the entrance did. He started asking a lot weird questions, while he, extremely slowly, scanned my items. Like " How old are you?" " Where are you from?" "What type of car do you have?" and " Do you have a gun in the glovebox?" the most random awkward questions you could ask a guy. After paying him a $100 bill and finding out he he did not have enough change, I just took the soup, 1 iced tea, the bag of chips, and the can opener, and handed him a $5 and a $2 bill that I always kept under my license. ( the only other bills I had, and they did not have a card swipes. I left hurriedly, relief, I drank the iced tea as I drove, the lack of people on the streets made me feel weird, so I hightailed it out of there and waited till I was 10 miles out back on the main road, to pull over and eat the soup and chips. I opened the chips and after putting one in my mouth quickly spat it out, it tasted bad. I looked the expiration date and it said they had expired 4 years ago. I was mad and agitated, I threw out the chips and the soup.

Extremely Disappointed with Target
I shipped a crib from Target's registry to my overseas address and after six weeks it hasn't arrived. I have called twice and they keep telling me to wait even though we have passed the "estimated arrival date" on my order confirmation. I am due on June 25th and according to Target I need to wait until May 24th until they are able to issue me a refund and re-ship the crib. Thus, I have four weeks until the baby will be here and hopefully will have a crib. I am an expatriate living in Kosovo and finding a crib out here is extremely difficult...

ID required for purchase!
I am 62 years old, why would Target ever require that I show an ID to buy beer? I asked for the Target Manager and was told that this is the Target store policy no exceptions. This is a lack of respect for someone obviously beyond the required age to purchase alcohol. I protest! I love a store asking to see an ID for a credit card purchase, Thank you for protecting me. However this is NEVER asked for at Target, just swipe a card, it can belong to any one. No Target store policies safeguarding your financial security. All of you that are over 40 lets show Target with our purchase power stop buying at Target, consumers do have the ability to make changes if we support our rights.

Ruined My Shoes!
I was shopping in my neighborhood Target store with my children. I passed an end cap with air fresheners on sale so I stopped to get some. As I picked up one of the air fresheners, a bunch of items came tumbling forward as if someone had emptied their entire cart on the shelf. One of the items, an almost black colored nail polish, rolled off the shelf and hit the floor covering my brand new Nike Air Max sneakers, which were white and cost $160 and the bottom of a brand new pair of Nike sweat pants. I went to the manager who took pictures. I also took pictures and had me fill out a form. After a few days of not hearing anything, I called the number on the form and was very ignorantly told that I needed receipts for my ruined items which I never keep and that it would take 30 days to hear back. I was also told that they would estimate how much my clothing was worth. They had me send my pictures that I took myself, which were in the Target store. And even from the pictures, you can see my sneakers were clean as a whistle and had no wear on them. Some of the pictures were taken with the bottom of the sneaker showing so you could see the bottoms weren't even worn the slightest bit. I finally receive a phone call in March of 2012. Mind you, this happened in the beginning of October of 2011 with an offer of $75. I was told, when this first happened, that if I contacted a lawyer that I could sue them and get way over what my items were worth but I just wanted was I was out. After having to wait all this time and being hit with such an insult of $75, I wish I would have sued them. I didn't accept the offer. I'm trying to figure out what I should do at this point.

Target in Staten Island double charges and doesn't care
Went to the Target in Staten Island and was charged twice for an item that is $14.99 + tax. Unfortunately for me, I realized this after I got home and I contacted Corporate thinking they would resolve but I received a canned response that the matter will be reported to "Leadership". So, what does that mean? I still didn't get refunded for the double charge. I suggested they can refund me via a gift card and they completely ignored my request and didn't even offer another resolution. It will be a long time before I return to Target. I guess they need the $15 more than me. Buyer Beware: check your receipt before you leave the store; don't trust that the cashier has done their job correctly.

This was just an unfortunate coincidence. The ad was delivered to our store on Monday before the incident even happened. There is no possible way to pull all the ads and have them reprinted and redistributed in one day before their scheduled release.
the tom tom display has been up in my store 4 days before the incident. Your dot connecting skills are poor.
I work at target in electronics and we have had an end cap set up with that display over a month, I agree it is horrible that the destination is what it is but lady you should get your facts straight before you go online ranting about something you do not know the full story about
it's beyond sad but I agree with the other commenters, it's probably just a bad coincidence.
Do you think that Target writes the ad on Saturday and its in your newspaper on Sunday? NO!
The ad was probably written last Monday, published and printed on Wednesday, and stuffed with the other ads and coupons on Saturday and delivered Sunday. The OP has diarrhea of the mouth and constipation of the brain.
I agree but Im pretty sure that the ad was published well before that awful event happened. Atleast I hope so
Do you not understand that those circulars were printed before the Colorado shooting? It is an unfortunate coincidence, not some insensitive, deliberate act!
