I shop at Fayetteville Target and I have to tell you that I spend a lot of time cutting coupons to save money. I was attacked by 2 supervisors because they knew I was using coupons. So embarrassed and will not be going to their store again to shop

They told me that since some of the coupons were expired that i could not use them. they were only expired by one day and one said that it was the wrong size, that the coupon did not state that size.

I had a total of ten coupons and I could only use six of them. Three were expired and the last one was wrong size.

Expired means expired no matter how long it has been expired. Three coupons were expired.

Why would you think that any retail store should accept expired coupons?

The most horrible customer service ive experienced. They arent concerned with customer care or quality. Just another money hungry corporation. It is more important to target to steal $50 and having over $1000 of merchandise returned over exchanging an item. Be wary of this.

oh and they stole my merchandise because i did not have a receipt, they said that they could not make a return, so I returned everything that I bought in the last three months and the total came to $345, yeah I got them back. I held up the line because it took a long time making those returns, but it was wroth it and I will never be back.

So because I wanted to make a return over a $50 and they stole that money from me I returned almost $350 worth of items, and I spend $1000 a year there. Also this baby was crying and I told the mother to keep it quiet or I would do something about it after I made the return, they said to leave the store or they would call the police I said I would and i won't be back.

Target Gift Card Customer Service is a JOKE!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Purchased a Target gift card at my local grocery store. Tried to use to make a purchase online. Card was defective, since I couldn't read the access code needed to use the card. Called c/s who told me to call the store I purchased card from & the manager could read me the access code. Knew this couldn't be true, but called anyway. Was referred to a c/s number that was for registries, not gift cards. Looked up number online. Called again & got another rude employee who said to go to the Target store & THEY could read the access code online. Called back to speak to supervisor who said they'd reissue me a gift card. Asked for an e-card & was denied that request. Tried to discuss complaint with a management member & he disconnected my call. Absolutely NO satisfaction!

Just because someone told you something that you do not want to hear, does not automatically mean the person were rude. You must be young to mistake these two.

"Free" gift card promotion for iPad Air 2 is a sham!

Target - Free gift card promotion for iPad Air 2 is a sham!
Thinking that this was the best buy of the year, I purchased an iPad Air 2 at my local Target, only because of the "$80 free gift card with purchase" promotion. Here's a warning: the gift card IS NOT FREE! You will be charged for it; check your credit card statement carefully. After nearly two hours with Target's customer service (chat and phone), I'm feeling completely deceived. Don't fall for Target's "Free Gift Card" promotions. Better yet, just don't buy anything from Target.

Product and service:

I went to a Minneapolis Target store and I purchased a convertible box for my T.V. Upon opening the package there was no plug that should've been included.

I took the product back and twice did the employee give me a plug that didn't fit the convertible box. So I took the product back to receive cash back. I was not offered the same product or a different one. Nor did the employee want to give me cash back.

He said, "I'm really not suppose to do this but I'll give you cash back." I was displeased with the product and service. I was not given any customer appreciation or incentive.

This was inconvenience and I think you should know.

Is That all?

I try to support brick and mortar businesses in my town to help promote local character and prosperity, for instance. Problems arise when cashiers subtly, mostly, assume the customer is a shoplifter.

The mother of all such assumptions is the cashier's question, "Is that all"? The question can make you feel that because you are only buying one or two inexpensive items that you must be hiding five other items somewhere and only intend to pay for the cheap items you put on the counter. Or maybe the cashier is genuinly trying to jog the shopper's memory about other items he may have forgotten to declare. What is the cashier really trying to say?

There has got to be a better way for stores to protect their merchandise from theft without that disconcerting question. I do a lot of shopping on Amazon to avoid such cashier microaggressive questioning.

Maybe the best solution would be to go with the Wal-Mart/Costco model: check the receipt of every customer leaving the store. It wouldn't be 100% effective in stopping shoplifting, unfortunately; however, the "light" shoppers will be spared the annoying and ineffective leading question technique, and maybe they wouldn't defect to Amazon quite so often, which would keep the money of the frugal shopper flowing to the brick and mortar businesses.

This is the silliest thing I've ever heard, and it scares me how sensitive this great nation has become. Everyone is offended by every little thing now a days.

I get asked that question all the time and it has never once crossed my mind that I am being accused of stealing something.

I think of it as stamps, or ice, or something large that an associate is supposed to meet me with that the cashier wouldn't know i needed of she didn't ask. Translation this question as a shoplifting accusation is quite a stretch, and I worry about how paranoid you are.

Guest

I typically ask, "Is this all for you today?" in a polite manner. Sometimes as an ice breaker for our transaction or as filler talk.

Usually, it's so I don't go to the payment process only to be requested for a change to the transaction. You'd be surprised how often this happens when I give them their total despite letting them have ample time to mention anything else. Time is a factor for transactions as most people are often on the go, so it's best to ensure everything is set to go. The question is also a spin on, "Did you find everything alright today?" Because, the reason they arrived with so little could mean they didn't get what they came in for.

Seriously, many of us would like to skip the small talk, but it's expected of us as customer service associates to do so as our job.

Acey Bjt

Cashiers will ask this question because of the way the counters/checkout lanes are constructed---they are unable to see into your cart or wish to make sure you don't have items way at the back end of the counter that you forgot to bring up. This serves as a reminder for those who actually forgot to bring items to the cashier to be scanned.

As for checking receipts upon exit at places like WalMart, I find that method rather offensive and ***---another reason to not shop at WalMart. Which we don't.

Guest

I agree the cashier is being silly, but I doubt she is claiming you are shoplifting.

SEVERAL TIMES NOW WHEN I ORDERED A PRODUCT, THE PERSON SEEMED NICE, BUT THE ORDER WAS EITHER NOT PUT THROUGH, THE WARRANTY I REQUESTED WAS LEFT OUT AND THEN THE HIGHER LEVEL CUSTOMER SERVICE INSISTED I NEVER MADE THE REQUEST BECAUSE IT JUST WASN'T IN THE ORDER AND ATTEMPTED TO ASK ME TO PAY DOUBLE FOR THAT EXTENED WARRANTY. I PASSED. THE MANUFACTURER SAID TO JUST CALL THEM AND THEY WILL MAKE IT A LOT EASIER TO REPLACE THE PRODUCT OR TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM. GETTING HELP FROM TARGET IS SO DIFFICULT. PLACING AN ORDER AND GETTING PICK UP OR DELIVERY IS A HEADACHE.

I AM NOW WAITING FOR A REPLACEMENT OF THE KITCHENAID OVEN BROILER, KC0223. I PHONED GOOD OLD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD SORRY, CAN'T DO A THING TILL THE PRODUCT REACHES THEM, WHICH COULD BE 7 TO 10 DAYS.

WHEN THEY RECEIVE IT, ANOTHER WILL BE SHIPPED OUT. THAT IS A LONG PROCESS. WALMART IS NOTIFIED WHEN THE ITEM IS PICKED UP AND ON THE TRUCK AND THEN IMMEDIATELY SHIPS OUT A REPLACEMENT. MANUFACTURER STATES THE SAME.

NOW I SIT WITHOUT ONE FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS. RIDICULOUS.

Unit-price labelling at Target may be very badly incorrect!

Beware of the unit-price labelling at TARGET stores. I just found at least one unit-price sticker that was very badly incorrect, and if there's one, there might well be others. I was looking at acetominophen. I found a set of 2 bottles, packaged together, each containing 250 tablets. The price (in Massachusetts) for the set of 2 was $13.99. The unit-price sticker on the shelf showed the "price per 100" as $5.60--which is exactly double what it really is. ($13.99 X 2 = $28 (rounding up) per 1,000 tablets - $2.80/100. The price sticker on the shelf looked like it must have come from corporate. I didn't have time to check any other prices, but no one ever accused any retailer of employing rocket scientists--even if, presumably, they're using calculators or computers to generate these things!!!!!

I don't see what the issue is, if it was priced as you say you are paying less than $5.60, not more.

Misused Position of authority

Good afternoon, I had been shopping at your store and noticed, a tall African American man manhandling a customer who was half the size of himself. He pushed the shopping cart in a very abrupt manner and in a very unprofessional way. I over heard a small part of the conversation along with the body gesture which made me figure this must be a store security issue. I was very alarmed and freighted to where I left that area very uncomfortable and just wanted to purchase my items and leave the store. This security person did not obviously care to know who or what were his surroundings for it seemed as though it used his position as a power high and it was very degrading to see at a target store.

Formula, food, medications ect. They must have gotten fired.

Not to mention that this made me so angry that I ignored my baby, I was reported to CPS by my doctor when my baby had the annual check up. I was just too tired to feed my baby because of them and my child was underweight and taken from my home and place into foster care.

I went to target with my friends and we were looking at the skateboards. An employee came to us and told us to stop riding the skateboards, even though we weren't riding them, so we did. Me and my friends kept on walking around the store and the security guard asked us if we were with our parents. We said no. He then proceeded to say that we were being loud and asked us why we were being rude to his employees. We said we weren't rude and then he said that we had to leave the store. We asked why and he said that we had to leave before he called the police. We did not understand why we were being kicked out because we obeyed the employee that came and told us in the first place.

"I went to target with my friends and we were looking at the skateboards. An employee came to us and told us to stop riding the skateboards, even though we weren't riding them, so we did."

Let me get this straight you were told to stop riding the skateboards by an employee because you were not riding the skateboards, but then you said you stopped riding the skateboards.
